AI Reports

Generate AI-powered highlights, lowlights, and standup summaries for your team.

Tickr can generate AI-powered summaries of what's happening across your tasks. Instead of asking everyone for a status update, just ask Tickr.

Highlights

/tickr highlights [start_date] [end_date]

AI summary of key accomplishments for a date range.

  • Default (no dates): Current calendar month (1st of month through today)
  • Custom range: Requires the Max plan. Format: YYYY-MM-DD

Examples:

/tickr highlights
/tickr highlights 2026-01-01 2026-01-31

Via @mention:

@Tickr give me highlights for this month

The AI summary covers:

  • Tasks Completed — what shipped, by whom
  • Key Progress — milestones on in-progress work
  • New Work Started — tasks created during the period
  • Blockers Resolved — dependencies unblocked

Lowlights

/tickr lowlights [start_date] [end_date]

AI summary of what needs attention — overdue tasks, blockers, and stalled work.

  • Default (no dates): Current calendar month
  • Custom range: Requires the Max plan

Examples:

/tickr lowlights
/tickr lowlights 2026-01-01 2026-01-31

Via @mention:

@Tickr what went wrong this month?

The AI summary covers:

  • Missed Deadlines — tasks due but not completed
  • Stalled Work — no meaningful progress or only vague updates
  • Unresolved Blockers — still blocking at end of period
  • Overdue Tasks — past due and still open
  • Low-Quality Updates — tasks with vague updates flagged as [vague]

ℹ️ Constructive tone

The lowlights report is focused on patterns and situations, not blame. The goal is to identify systemic issues.

Standup

/tickr standup [date]

AI-generated daily standup that replaces your standup meeting. Requires Pro plan or higher.

  • Default (no date): Today
  • Custom date: Any date in YYYY-MM-DD format

Examples:

/tickr standup
/tickr standup 2026-02-14

Via @mention:

@Tickr generate a standup for today

The summary is organized per person:

👤 @alice
  • ✅ Completed: Fixed login timeout
  • 🔵 Working on: Database migration (updated 2h ago)
  • 🔴 Blocked: API integration — waiting on endpoint spec
  • ⏰ Due soon: Design mockups (due Feb 17)

👤 @bob
  • No recent activity

📊 Team Summary
  • 8 active tasks, 2 blocked, 3 upcoming deadlines this week

Each person's section includes:

  • Completed work (yesterday through the standup date)
  • In-progress tasks with last update time
  • Blockers with reason
  • Upcoming deadlines (within 3 days)

Ends with a team summary: active count, blocked count, upcoming deadlines, and unassigned tasks.

Report scope

Reports are scoped to the channel where you run the command:

Where you run itScope
In a channel (e.g., #project-launch)Only tasks from that channel
In a DM with TickrAll your tasks across all channels

This lets you get focused reports per project or a global view of your own work.

Use cases

Daily standup

Run /tickr standup at the start of standup for a ready-made summary. Skip the round-robin status updates.

Sprint retrospective

Use both /tickr highlights and /tickr lowlights at the end of a sprint to see what went well and what got stuck.

Manager updates

Run /tickr highlights on Friday afternoon for a week-in-review summary you can share with stakeholders.

Identifying patterns

Over time, lowlights reveal systemic issues:

  • Same person always blocking? They might be overloaded.
  • Same type of task always overdue? The estimates might be off.
  • One channel always stalled? The team might need process help.

Weekly AI Digest (Max plan)

In addition to on-demand reports, Tickr sends a personalized Weekly AI Digest DM every Monday at 9:00 AM in each user's local timezone. The digest summarizes your week ahead and week behind — overdue tasks, upcoming due dates, in-progress work, blockers, completions, and update quality trends.

The digest uses each user's Slack profile timezone (not the channel timezone), so everyone receives it at 9 AM in their own time zone.

See Weekly AI Digest for full details.
